2016 was a groundbreaking year for National CooperativeRx and our members. With 78,314 participants joining us from 34 new member groups across the country, we have participants in every state! With each individual, our Cooperative’s voice is stronger in the pharmacy benefits industry.
Since we’re member-owned, our money is your money, and this was a great year to be a part of the Cooperative! We distributed an incredible $30,926,186 back to our members in the form of quarterly rebates, true-up, patronage, and audit results. 100% of our annual earnings are returned to plan sponsors in the form of dividends. Our dividends were substantially higher than in recent years, totaling almost $550,000 due to our revenue being the highest yet, coming in at approximately $2.6 million.
