National CooperativeRx recently welcomed Tim Hogan to the team! As a strategic account executive, Tim builds and maintains relationships with new and existing members, serving as a trusted pharmacy benefit advisor. He oversees a book of member accounts, reviewing their financial and clinical reports and identifying opportunities to help them better manage their pharmacy benefit plans.
Tim is from Boston, MA, and attended Boston College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. After experiencing a health-related incident in his personal life, Tim became intrigued by the healthcare industry. The prescription benefits sector left an impact on him because of the long-lasting nature of medication routines and the emotional aspects tied to these regimens. This led him to begin his career in the pharmacy benefit management industry, which he now has almost 10 years of experience in.
Tim has worked for numerous pharmacy benefit organizations, holding various roles, including Account Executive, Strategic Advisor, and Regional Vice President of Sales. He has managed day-to-day member and client concerns, promptly resolving issues and preventing further complications. Additionally, he has analyzed plan designs and recommended cost-containment strategies that aligned with the needs and objectives of his members and clients. Tim explained, “I have always operated with the best interest of members in mind and aim to identify, understand, and relieve their pressure and pain points.” He continued, “The more clients, members, and participants I can help navigate the complex prescription drug marketplace, the more accomplished I feel.”
Thanks to his prior experience in the pharmacy benefit management industry, Tim was already familiar with National CooperativeRx when he joined the team. He admired our key differentiators, such as our not-for-profit and member-owned cooperative model and the purchasing power we acquire from operating as a collective. Tim is eagerly anticipating the results of our 2025 pharmacy benefit manager request for proposal. He is looking forward to sharing the additional value of National CooperativeRx’s new contract with his members and clients.
Tim currently resides in Pompano Beach, FL, with his 17-month-old son, Graham, and French bulldog, Oliver. While he is no longer a Boston resident, he is still a die-hard Boston sports fan, cheering on the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and New England Patriots. Tim played college baseball and has made it a goal of visiting every major league baseball stadium in the country. Of the baseball stadiums he has visited, Tim’s favorite is Boston’s Fenway Park, with PNC Park in Pittsburgh, PA, being a close second.
Welcome to the National CooperativeRx team, Tim!
