Celebrating Our Team: Recognizing Promotions Within National CooperativeRx

At National CooperativeRx, we take pride in fostering professional growth and celebrating the achievements of our team members. As the year comes to a close, we are thrilled to recognize several internal promotions, effective immediately.

Jasmine Johnston — Marketing Manager

Jasmine joined the National CooperativeRx team three years ago as a marketing specialist. Over time, her role grew to encompass a broader range of marketing and communications initiatives, aimed at enhancing member education, strengthening brand awareness, and elevating National CooperativeRx’s presence across multiple channels. As the Marketing Manager, Jasmine will continue to drive these initiatives while leading efforts to further amplify our impact and engagement.

Katy O’Malia — Partnership Development Manager

Katy has been an integral part of the National CooperativeRx team for nearly two years as a sales and account associate. She supported our account management team with member and partner requests and assisted our sales team with new member groups. As a Partnership Development Manager, Katy will build relationships with employee benefit brokers, agents, and consultants, aligning the Cooperative’s solutions with their clients’ needs. She will play a key role in expanding our reach, helping partners identify cost-saving opportunities, and supporting them in optimizing pharmacy benefit plans for their clients.

Erica Guetzlaff, PharmD — Director of Clinical Services

Erica recently celebrated five years with the National CooperativeRx team. With over 15 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, her expertise has been instrumental in advancing our clinical services. Erica led the development of our specialty medication prior authorization program, saving our membership an estimated $19 to $25 million in drug costs in 2023 while also improving the patient and provider experience. As the Director of Clinical Services, Erica will continue to lead our in-house clinical initiatives and clinical team, ensuring high-quality care and value for our membership. She will also provide ongoing guidance to members, partners, and staff, offering clinical insights to help improve the management of pharmacy benefit plans.

Wayne Salverda, RPh — Director of Research and Marketplace Intelligence

Wayne is celebrating 15 years with the National CooperativeRx team this month. As the first pharmacist to join the team, Wayne played a key role in developing our clinical services, which have become a cornerstone of our Cooperative’s success. With almost 30 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, his knowledge of the pharmacy benefit industry, managed care, and retail pharmacy markets has been invaluable. As the Director of Research and Marketplace Intelligence, Wayne will focus on researching and analyzing the pharmacy benefit marketplace to help strategically position the Cooperative for sustained success. He will also continue to serve as an expert clinical resource, providing support and education on emerging trends to our members, partners, and staff.

Chelsea Shinder — Sales and Account Associate

In 2025, Chelsea will transition from her current role as a Prior Authorization Associate to a Sales and Account Associate. As a Sales and Account Associate, Chelsea will work closely with our account management team to support and address requests from current members and partners, while also assisting the sales team with new member groups.
