The Cooperative’s new Advanced Criteria Updates Program has officially launched! National CooperativeRx constantly monitors the pharmaceutical marketplace for new therapies in the pipeline. We have implemented our opt-in Advanced Criteria Updates program to offer our member groups an opportunity to employ our recommendations on a quarterly basis to better adapt their plans to the rapidly changing market.
We are currently focusing on the management of the following categories, which were targeted based on product prices, potential impact, and recent marketplace changes:
- Antiviral medications
- Continuous blood glucose monitors
- Digestive aids
- Oral allergy immunotherapy
- Oral migraine
- Narcolepsy
Our ongoing focus on thoughtful clinical management is one aspect that distinguishes the Cooperative from other pharmacy benefit manager arrangements. We believe our membership trend helps illustrate the success of our clinical approach and independent expertise, which we look to build upon with this program.
We are happy to report that the following are opted into our Advanced Criteria Updates program for either a 4/1, 5/1, or 6/1 start date:
