Dear new friends and colleagues:
I look forward to my new role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National CooperativeRx beginning July 6, 2015. I am truly honored by the confidence the Board of Directors has placed in me. It is an exciting time to be working in the pharmacy benefit industry and National CooperativeRx will serve an increasingly significant role in bending the pharmacy cost trend.
Since its creation, I have held this organization in high regard developing a great respect for the staff. From my perspective, what could be better than a cooperative of employers coming together to negotiate better pricing and services while providing the best pharmacy benefits available to employees and families.
For the past decade, I have worked with the Wisconsin Counties Association (WCA). As the Director of Programs and Services, I supported member services while developing revenue sources for WCA. In this role, I served as the Chief Operations Officer of WCA Group Health Trust, a self-funded employee health benefits trust that has grown from 8,000 to 50,000 participants during my tenure. Additionally, I oversaw two liability insurance companies, Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation and Community Insurance Corporation, as well as WCA Services, Inc., the endorsement arm of WCA.
As I begin as CEO of National CooperativeRx, my focus will be on the members. While directing the benefit plans for WCA Group Health Trust gives me a good base, my experience is by no means all encompassing. I look forward to speaking with each of you to gain knowledge and perspective. Together we can achieve new heights.
Additionally, I will pursue the Cooperative’s goal of growing membership to increase our negotiating power to further strengthen this organization. As current members, you play an invaluable role in membership growth by sharing the value proposition you experience.
