We are pleased to announce the addition of Josh Kilmer to the National CooperativeRx team! Josh is our newest strategic account executive and maintains his own Cooperative book of business. He helps members analyze their benefit plan data and advises them on plan design best practices.
Hailing from a town just north of Green Bay, Wis., Josh obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Wisconsin-Marinette. He then embarked on a health care and wellness career path, holding various positions in the industry, including insurance, audiology, and oncology. “As I gained more experience and knowledge of different fields in health care, I realized I was interested in helping people on a more intimate scale,” Josh explains.
Josh emphasized his desire to foster relationships with members and partners on an ongoing basis, and not simply see patients for their annual checkup. “I chose National CooperativeRx because I was impressed at the transparency it provides its membership and how we are setting the benchmark in innovation for pharmacy benefits,” Josh states.
As Josh is 30 days into his career with us, he is learning all the acronyms and pharmaceutical jargon that comes with the territory. He explains, “I consider myself a quick learner but am looking forward to the day when I do not have to think twice about which letters mean what!”
When asked what he is most looking forward to with his new position, Josh expressed being able to put his relationship-building and customer service skills to good use. “I am so grateful to have found a job that enables me to do the one thing I love the most: communicating with and helping others achieve optimal health and wellness,” Josh says.
Since Josh currently resides in Green Bay, Wis., only several miles from Lambeau Field (but not close enough to benefit from charging football fans to park on his lawn), you can bet he is an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoys kayak fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his wife, Meghan, and three children, Aiden, Keira, and Mason.
If you happen to see him at our upcoming Annual Meeting on May 11, please take a moment to welcome him to the Cooperative family!
