National CooperativeRx is thrilled to welcome Zach Heacox to our team! As a sales and account associate, Zach supports our strategic account executives and clinical team in fostering relationships with existing members and partners. He also works closely with our sales team, providing assistance when prospective groups consider membership.
Zach is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis on people and culture, focusing on areas such as human resources, organizational behavior, and team dynamics. This allowed him to develop skills in talent development, employee engagement, and fostering a positive workplace culture. Throughout his college years, Zach developed a fascination for various business fields, including marketing, public relations, and communications. However, it was his experience working as a desk assistant at his residence hall’s desk and serving as an aquatics manager that helped him discover his passion for providing support to others. When faced with challenges, Zach leveraged his communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues and transform them into positive outcomes.
Zach is not new to working for an organization focused on the public’s best interests. He undertook a semester-long internship at a non-profit bike share initiative, promoting accessibility and sustainability within the greater La Crosse community. Zach commented, “My internship showed me the power of community-focused work. Witnessing how even a single initiative could significantly impact people’s lives was gratifying.”
His commitment to serving his community is further reflected in his volunteer work. Since 2019, Zach has volunteered at a non-profit health care system, assisting patients with transportation to treatment areas and operating rooms. This experience, combined with his own past medical complications, inspired him to organize drives creating holiday cards for patients and staff, which evolved into founding a larger operation to create and send cards to hospitalized children. Under Zach’s supervision, over 100,000 cards were collected and distributed to children in hospitals.
When asked about his role at National CooperativeRx, Zach stated, “This position not only allows me to refine my interpersonal skills but also gives me the opportunity to gain experience working with data and metrics—an area I haven’t had the chance to explore in my previous roles.” He expressed gratitude for the support and guidance he continues to receive from his colleagues at National CooperativeRx.
Having recently relocated from his hometown of Janesville, WI to Madison, WI, Zach looks forward to casually biking along the city’s bike paths. Although Zach was an avid tennis player growing up, he has come to enjoy pickleball more due to its ease of play and social aspect. When he is not biking or playing pickleball, Zach enjoys spending time with friends and family and exploring new restaurants.
Welcome to the National CooperativeRx team, Zach!
